Happy Mail

These days people don’t often send things by post. It’s too slow, we can always just give someone a quick text or a call, e-mail, whatever. In fact, mostly, we just tend to get bills or online deliveries in the post. My husband will tell you, we get lots of online deliveries. But one morning I got some happy mail.

It was actually the above instagram post that seemingly spurred on my happy mail. I’d posted wishing over brush pens and so my amazing friends came to the rescue!

My friend Sarah had sent me a book about hand lettering and some of her pens to get me going with it.  She included a really lovely little card and a bag of Haribo starmix too! (I didn’t picture the haribo because I had actually already eaten them…. oops)

Thank you, Sarah, it means the world to me you would do something like this for me. I actually plan to take the book and pens with me on my chemo days so I can practice while I’m in the chair and listen to some music. It’s the perfect distraction for me.

And my gorgeous sister Sophie had ordered me some brush pens knowing I was after them for my journal headers also. Thank you Soph, I was so excited to open brush pens. I’m really looking forward to many hours spent playing around with them to see what I can achieve with them.

I was definitely a very spoiled girl. Love to you both if you are reading, I promise to show you what I manage to achieve with my gifts!
